Flex Antennas
This is one of the lightest and slimmest antennas on the market – Suitable for the 900 MHz ISM band. It is designed to operate in free space, or stuck onto a relatively RF transparent material, eg. Foam wing, fuselage, balsa wing, thin fiberglass (not carbon fiber).
It has better than -10dB return loss when in free space, to stuck on a thick slab of EPP foam so it quite insensitive to the installation.
To use this bare antenna – a good quality coaxial cable needs to be soldered on the feed point
We have several pre-stripped RG316 cables at a few lengths to make installation easier, you can also use one of our RPSMA extension cables cut to your desired length.
Flex 1
Use of this antenna is easy, as it has integrated feed point matching, an integrated balun for feed cable isolation and black solder resist with gold plated pads for soldering.Specifications:

Flex 2
This antenna is designed to be vertically polarised when mounted vertically. For example, when mounted on a vertical stabiliser of an aircraft, it will radiate the same as a vertically mounted dipole.
